built different.
Here are a few projects where I experimented different with mediums!
Pink Alabaster Stone Carving
When I was creating this sculpture, it was essential to allow the natural characteristics of the rock to guide the sculpting process. The rock's unique texture, color, and shape inspired and influenced my creative vision, leading to a more organic and harmonious final product. By letting the rock guide the sculpting process, I created a piece of art that feels like it belongs in the natural world, rather than one that appears artificial or forced.

Acrylic Paint on B&W photo paper
Words have the power to impact people's emotions, thoughts, and actions. They can hurt, inspire, or be misunderstood, depending on the context and the way they are used. To symbolize this impact, I painted three paintings, each representing a different aspect of the power of words. I have painted the ASL sign for pain (on the right), speak (in the middle), and grow (on the left). There are words written on papers held in front of peoples faces, because our identities can be lost to the words people use to describe us.
